The disconnect

If you wonder why national healthcare doesn't get more support in the US, it could be because those who are covered don't fully realize the plight of the nation's 46 million uninsured.

Did you know that if you're uninsured the hospital and doctors won't see you? Isn't that unbelievable? I had no idea! I just thought they'd see you!

Did you know that if you're not a member of the Diners Club the restaurants will not serve you for free? Isn't that unbelievable? I had no idea! I just thought they'd feed you!

Apparently medical care costs money. Like food, clothes, and everything else in life that is either earned or, by definition, is appropriated by taking the money to pay for it away from someone who did earn it.

The hospitals will see you at the ER regardless of your financial state.
