The al-Qaeda Martyre.

In case you wonder, the beginning of the sentencing trial of Zacarias Moussaoui has not caused any reaction in France, one way or the other. He may be a French citizen, but no one really cares. Nor should they, in my opinion. The news is mentioned of course and everybody feels somewhat sorry for the crying mother but that's that. Claiming to be 'al-Qaeda' probably does not help him either.
However, I hope he does not get a death sentence in the end, not only because I'm against death penalty as principle, but more particularly in this case because that's what he wants and he must absolutely not be turned into a martyre and get his 15 minute-fame in the world (where he is still largely ignored).
