Teenagers Cutting Class to Protest is In!

"We'd only miss school if it's something even more important, and it shows (this issue) is something really important to us." said a high-school student on Friday while holding a demonstration during class time.
But that one was not taking place in France... but in the US (see here).
Hundreds of students from two high schools walked off their campuses on Friday to protest congressional legislation that would tighten immigration laws without providing a road to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants already in the country. (here)
I find the parallel with the French high school students reaction interesting (even if it's a bit far-fetched). Is this a sign of a new form of revolution by the youth? Are the French teens behind.... or ahead?
