French Riots - Is the Party Over?

UPDATE on Tuesday morning:
More cars and buildings were torched last night but it appears that the violence has been less extreme than the night before. (the figures available this morning at
4:00 a.m. - 815 cars set on fire compared to more than 1,400 the night before).

The Paris area was particularly calmer.

Does this mean that it'll be soon over? We'll see but we can certainly hope so.

UPDATE in the US:
You wouldn't know things were calmer last night by reading the US media. The riots are leading the news this morning and France is taking a beating. It seems the curfew was the tipping point. Somehow the curfew (which we're not opposed to here) has indicated to the US media that France has lost control. Echos of '68 are making the rounds given the rioting outside French borders. Seems all of Europe quakes when when France has a revolution. Think 1789, 1848, 1968...
