Tuesday Night in France.

While the intensity of the violence is on the way down, the healines in the French news tonight have to do with the state-of-emergency decree decided by the government which allows, among other things, curfews in some of the worst hit areas (the ghetto neighborhoods) for kids under 16, rather than with the violence itself.
Over 70% of the French support the decision by the government to reactivate the 1955 state-of-emergency law. The last time it was used was back during France's war in Algeria. Some people say it is too much, and that the current situation does not require it but it is what the population is asking at this point.
